Meet the Team -- Sam
It’s me y’all!
It’s been awhile and a lot sure has changed since I last put anything on here. It only made sense to start the kick-off of the blog with a little bit about me, what’s been going on, and what’s the latest with the business. I just spent a week away last month at Design Camp and, honestly, it was the best gift to myself and my team ever. Aside from a moment to breathe and relax, I learned SO much.

For those of you that do not know me, I am the Principal Designer and Owner of StruckSured Interiors. We are a woman-owned small business and I have had the privilege of “doing” design for the past 10 years post-graduation. My passion formed early in life through my experiences in theater design, drafting, and architecture classes in my teens. I have worked internationally, in Singapore, and offered freelance design assistance to other designers before transitioning to direct to client services in 2015 in Hood River. Since then, business has been both a wildly exciting and challenging venture.
We grew into our own space back in 2019 and are now looking towards an even bigger and exciting horizon. Through all the twists and turns of growth and business development, the core of who we are and what we do has remained. We are a people focused business determined to listen well, design with excellence, and walk alongside our clients through the build journey while hopefully sprinkling in some fun along the way.
If you would have asked me two years ago where I would be, I would not have predicted our growth in my wildest dreams. Aside from my kids, watching my team grow and seeing our company community thrive has been my greatest joy. I tell them (and anyone really….) all the time, that we have the best of the best in our office. Our team is made up of the most professional, humble, and attentive crew and I cannot wait for you to meet them through this Meet the Team blog series.
In the meantime, thought it might be fun for you to see a little window into my personal life. I am a mom to two wild and crazy farm boys and the wife to one of our newest employees, Jordan Struck. We are celebrating 11 years married next month (15 years together in total) and, honestly, I owe everything to this man and his encouragement and support in StruckSured.
Fun little fact about me is that I also super love the Enneagram. I am a Type 1 (Reformer) and I love using it as a tool to help the team better understand and communicate with each other! I also love to leave little pranks around the office and dream about ways to pull one off on our clients. Having a good time really is a core value of mine! Our team works REALLY hard to do our job well and to handle the large scale projects we have so it seems only fair to balance that with some good fun here and there!
All in all, things are so, so good. We’ve been quiet because we are so, so busy. But, with the team dialed in and things reaching a plateau, I am really looking forward to showing you all what we have been up to. Thank you to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and helped along the way. We could not be here without all of you!
